“The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

The bottom line claim from that passage in the Bible is that “people are without excuse”.

That is God’s claim, coming from Paul.

God says that “what has been made”, that is the world around us as we see and feel it, is the evidence for his claim that he exists. And not only do we need to acknowledge that he exists, but also, that we will be held accountable to him.

I heartily and happily accept that, since I see his hand all around in the world, nature and the sky above. But, most don’t…
